 Ben love reading!
Up close and personal.  Benjamin likes to reach for the camera as you're taking a picture.

 Ben and G'pa Brian.

Christmas celebration with G'ma and G'pa.

 1st Solid Food!  Oat cereal.

 Daddy down for the count.

Thanks Aunt Chelle for the "taggie" blanket.  Ben loves it!

 String fun!

 Bundle up it's cold out!

 I love my start suit.

 You got me Ben.

Finally...Benjamin' room.  We went with a brown and white, zebra/giraffe/safari theme.  Rachelle made the pillow and curtain tie backs.

The little boy picture is from my Mom - a neat heirloom.  Benjamin got Mickey from G'pa Brian when we were still in the hospital.  The two snow-globes are from G'ma Deb - they have his initials on them.
 Yum...frog legs.

This is a cross-stich that my G'ma Dean made for Ben.  He is always attracted to it and wanting to go over and feel it.  So sweet.
6 months old!  Can't believe it!  Ben is doing great.  He's 17 pounds and in the 50 percentile.  He's beginning to roll over and can almost sit up by himself.  He's also blessed us with a little more sleep at night (still one night feeding).  He's started to eat rice cereal, but is still not quite sure what to do with it.  Most of the time he pushes it out with his tongue or blows bubble with it - a messy affair.  He loves to do lip trills and buzzes and says ma-ma, da-da, ga-ga with great enthusiasm.  I started teaching in January and we are still adjusting to new schedules and babysitters.  Thankfully I'm only 1/2 time - it's hard being away from him.  He got his first teeth too when my parents visited at the beginning of January!

Went to Red Lobster with my parents and Benjamin was enjoying playing with my face!

Mmmm...toes.
 Last Broncos game.

 So flexible!

We had to swaddle Ben up until now because of his ecsema - but we found this really cool zip up sleeper that encloses his hands so he won't scratch his face and head.  It's called a Zipadee Zip and has been wonderful!  It's a great transition out of the swaddle.  We call it his star suit because he looks like a 5 point start when he's stretched out.

 Funny hat time.

 Hey, that's Mommy's hat!

What a big boy in his cap!

Good Morning and Merry 1st Christmas!!!

Soaking up some steam in the bathroom.  Ben got his 1st cold (along with me) over Christmas.

 Rolling, rolling, rolling.

I think it's time to move to the crib.  His 26 inch length has outgrown his bassinet

"Good things come in small packages."  This is the onsie I bought last year to announce to Wes that we were pregnant.  What a special year and special Christmas with our little boy!  Holding Benjamin in my arms this Christmas makes the night Christ was born so much more meaningful.  To imagine Mary holding her precious boy - knowing He is to save the world...this tiny baby boy!

I'm ready to open my first present!

 Hi G'pa John!
 Woh!
So, do you wanna go play in the snow?

Actually, I think I'm hungry; can I just eat your nose?
